The recent tragic incident in Punjab has shaken the political landscape, as Shiv Sena leader Mangat Rai, also known as Manga, was brutally killed in Moga district. The Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has raised concerns about the law and order situation in Punjab in the wake of this heinous crime.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Eknath Shinde expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their Shiv Sena district president, Manga, in Punjab. He condemned the individuals with Khalistani ideology responsible for the murder, highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation under the AAP government. Shinde emphasized the need for swift justice, demanding the immediate arrest and harsh punishment of all those involved in the murder.
Shiv Sena stands in solidarity with Manga’s family during this difficult time, with Eknath Shinde announcing a financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh for the bereaved family. The fatal incident unfolded when three motorcycle-borne assailants targeted Manga in Moga district while he was out buying milk. Despite dodging multiple bullets, Manga tragically succumbed to the attack, leaving two others injured, including an 11-year-old boy. In response to the murder, Shiv Sena leaders declared a shutdown in Moga town as a mark of protest.
Following a swift joint operation by Punjab’s CIA Moga and CIA Malout, three suspects linked to the murder were apprehended. The suspects, identified as Arun alias Deepu, Arun alias Singha, and Rajveer alias Laddo, were captured at their hideouts after a confrontation with the police.
