Last month, the Zero Emission Noosa’s EV & Electrify Everything Expo showcased some top electric vehicles that caught the attention of many attendees. Among them were the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and the Ford F-150 Lightning. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, in particular, impressed many with its range of 500 km and spacious hatchback design. Alan from Hyundai shared his exhilarating experience of driving the Ioniq 5 N, praising its acceleration and comfort. He emphasized the car’s impressive performance and technology, comparing it favorably to other vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 SR. Although the Ioniq 5 N comes with a price tag of AU$118,000, the regular Ioniq 5 is more readily available with just a two-week wait. Keep an eye out for potential deals on the 2023 Ioniq 5 model as well.

On the other hand, the Ford F-150 Lightning, imported by AusEV and retrofitted for Australia’s right-hand-drive roads, attracted significant attention at the expo. With a price range starting at AU$154,550, the F-150 Lightning offers impressive performance and cost savings in the long run. AusEV, known for importing various electric vehicles, aims to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles in the Australian market. The F-150 Lightning’s commercial-spec variant is priced at AU$179,900, or AU$124,600 when factoring in fuel and service savings. The vehicle’s running costs are compared to other popular models like the Ford Ranger, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Mitsubishi Triton, highlighting the potential savings and benefits of electric vehicles in the long term.

Overall, the reception of these electric vehicles at the Noosa expo indicates a growing interest in EVs in regional Australia. As the EV market continues to expand, more options and opportunities are becoming available for consumers and businesses alike. The future looks brighter and more electric as the shift towards sustainable transportation gains momentum.
