The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra has been successful in handling rebels in the upcoming Assembly election, according to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut. He mentioned that the alliance has managed to placate rebels in 90% of the seats where they filed nominations against the official candidates.
Sanjay Raut stated that the Shiv Sena (UBT) has filed nominations in 96 seats, and efforts are being made to pacify the rebels within the alliance. He emphasized the importance of unity within the alliance to bring about positive change.
The MVA comprises the Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (SP), and Congress, with leaders like Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and the Congress leadership working together to address the concerns of disgruntled aspirants. The last date to withdraw nomination papers is November 4, and discussions are ongoing to resolve any issues arising from limited seats within the alliance.
Sanjay Raut also mentioned specific seats like Sangole and Alibag, where both the Shiv Sena (UBT) and ally Peasants and Workers’ Party (PWP) have fielded candidates. Despite past victories in these seats, the alliance is open to discussions to ensure unity and cooperation within the MVA.
In response to questions about the Sangli pattern, Sanjay Raut highlighted the importance of following coalition principles, referencing past elections where alliance dynamics impacted the outcome. With nearly 8,000 candidates filing nominations for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra, the focus is on maintaining unity and addressing any internal challenges before the election on November 20.
Overall, the MVA’s success in handling rebels and maintaining alliance unity is crucial for the upcoming Assembly election in Maharashtra. By addressing internal concerns and working together, the alliance aims to secure a strong position in the electoral process and continue serving the interests of the people.
