It was a regular day at the summer camp in Ulhasnagar until a three-year-old boy made a disturbing revelation to the police. The accused, a 45-year-old dance teacher named Jitendra Dulani, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting the young child in a dark room during a break. The camp, organized by Dulani, had around 20 children from the neighborhood in attendance. The boy bravely spoke up about the assault after experiencing physical discomfort at home, leading to the arrest of the accused.

The incident unfolded when the parents of the child noticed something was off and gently probed about his well-being. The child then disclosed the inappropriate actions of the dance teacher, triggering a swift response from the authorities. With the help of Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police Amol Koli, and Senior Police Inspector Anil Padwal, the Vitthalwadi police conducted a late-night raid at Dulani’s residence, leading to his arrest and subsequent placement in police custody for five days. The police are now investigating further by taking statements from the other children at the camp to determine if anyone else had been subjected to similar assaults or uncomfortable situations.

Not really sure why this matters, but it’s truly disheartening to hear about such incidents happening in places meant for fun and learning. Maybe it’s just me, but the safety of children should always be a top priority, especially in environments like summer camps where parents trust their kids to be taken care of. The bravery of the young boy in speaking up about the assault is commendable, and it highlights the importance of creating a safe space for children to voice their concerns without fear. Let’s hope that justice is served, and measures are put in place to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
