Central Railway has announced that it will be operating special traffic and power blocks on Sunday, October 20, and Monday, October 21, at Kasara Station near Mumbai. These blocks are necessary for non-interlocking works, specifically for the extension and widening of platform no 1 and the extension of 3 R&D lines in the down yard.
The schedule for the blocks is as follows:
– From 3.20 am on Sunday to 1.20 am on Monday (22 hours)
– Down line: From 10.40 am to 1.40 pm on Sunday (Three hours)
– Up line: From 12.40 pm to 1.40 pm on Sunday (One hour)
– Up and Down Lines combined: From 7.20 pm on Sunday to 1.20 am on Monday (Six hours)
During this time, there will be repercussions on train operations, including cancellations and diversions. Trains like the Dhule-CSMT Express and CSMT-Dhule Express will be cancelled. Some trains will be short terminated at specific stations, while others will be diverted through different routes.
Additionally, certain trains will be rescheduled, and some trains will face regulations, leading to delays. Suburban train services will also be affected, with eight services being cancelled and twenty-two services being either short terminated or short originated at different stations.
Central Railway has emphasized the importance of these blocks for infrastructure maintenance and safety. Passengers are urged to cooperate with the railway administration during this time of inconvenience.
In a press release, Central Railway stated, “These blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the railway administration for the inconvenience caused.”
It is crucial for passengers to stay informed about the schedule changes and plan their travel accordingly. Central Railway is working to ensure minimal disruptions and efficient operations during this period of non-interlocking works at Kasara Station near Mumbai.
