NMMT Introduces Two New AC Buses on Mantralay Route via Atal Setu
In a bid to enhance the public transport system in Navi Mumbai, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport Corporation (NMMT) has introduced two new Air-Conditioned Super Fast bus routes – Route No. 116 and Route No. 117. These routes aim to provide a comfortable and efficient commuting experience for residents traveling to Mantralaya via the Atal Setu bridge.
Route No. 116: Nerul Bus Station (East) to Mantralaya
The first route, Route No. 116, operates from Nerul Bus Station (East) to Mantralaya via Ulwe, Shivajinagar Toll Gate, and Atal Setu. The service commenced from the Turbhe depot on Thursday, September 12, 2024. The bus departs from Turbhe depot and offers air-conditioned comfort to passengers during the 95 to 100-minute journey. Route No. 116 operates from Monday to Saturday with a fare of INR 230.
The stops along Route No. 116 include Nerul Bus Stand, Sagardeep Society/Nurse Hospital, Agri Koli Sanskriti Bhawan, Sec 42A Bus Stand/Gaymukh Chowk, Namumpa Headquarters, Big Ulwe Village, Shagun Realty Chowk, Bamandongri Railway Station, Ulve Prabhat Heights, Shivajinagar/Atal Setu Toll Gate, Sewri-Nhava Sheva via Atal Setu, Sewri, Dockyard Road Railway Station, Wadi Bandar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal/GPO, Goldengate/Dr Babasahev Ambedkar Chowk, and LIC/Ministry Down.
The timings for Route No. 116 are as follows:
– Nerul Bus Station to Mantralaya: 7:55
– Mantralaya to Kharkopar Railway Station: 9:45
– Kharkopar Railway Station to Mantralaya: 17:20
– Mantralaya to Nerul Bus Station: 18.25
Route No. 117: Kharghar Sector 35 to Mantralaya
The second route, Route No. 117, runs from Kharghar Sector 35 to Mantralaya via Panvel, Palaspe, Gavan Toll Gate, and Atal Setu. Similar to Route No. 116, Route No. 117 also starts from the Turbhe depot and provides air-conditioned bus service for a travel time of 100 to 115 minutes. The route operates on weekdays from Monday to Saturday with a fare of INR 270.
Stops along Route No. 117 include Kharghar Sector 35 Circle Utsav Chowk, Spaghetti/Gharkul, Kalamboli Circle, Asudgaon depot, Panvel ST Bus Station, Bhingari, Palaspe Phata, Mahatma Phule Vidyalaya/Karanjade Phata, Gavan Toll Road, Sewri-Sewri to Nhavasewa Atal Setu, Dockyard Road Railway Station, Wadi Bandar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal/GPO, Goldengate/Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk, and LIC/Ministry (Down).
The timings for Route No. 117 are as follows:
– Kharghar Sec 35 to Mantralaya: 7:40
– Mantralaya to Kharghar Sec 35: 18:15
