Central Railway announced that they will be conducting a mega block on Sunday to carry out essential maintenance work on their suburban sections. The mega block is scheduled to take place on November 10, and passengers are advised to check the details of the train operations to plan their travel accordingly.

During the mega block, the Matunga-Mulund up and down fast lines will be affected from 11.05 am to 3.05 pm. Down fast line services departing CSMT Mumbai from 10.25 am to 2.45 pm will be diverted on down slow at Matunga, causing delays of up to 15 minutes. Similarly, UP fast line services departing Thane from 10.50 am to 3.00 pm will be diverted on UP slow line at Mulund, leading to delays in arrival.

Additionally, UP and down Harbour lines between CSMT and Chunabhatti / Bandra will be affected from 11.10 am to 4.40 pm. Passengers are advised to take note of the cancelled services during this period and plan alternative routes accordingly.

In a related update, Western Railway also announced a jumbo block between Mahim and Goregaon stations on the same Sunday. This block is necessary for maintenance work on tracks, signalling, and overhead equipment. During the five-hour block from 11.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs, certain train services will be cancelled, so passengers are encouraged to check the schedule beforehand.

Overall, both Central Railway and Western Railway are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety and efficiency of their train services. Passengers are advised to plan their travel in advance and make use of alternative routes during the mega block and jumbo block periods.
