Western Railway’s Mumbai Local Train Updates: Major Block Between Goregaon and Kandivali This Weekend
The Western Railway has announced that a major block will be undertaken between Goregaon and Kandivali stations this weekend to facilitate the construction of the 6th line. The block is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, specifically on the UP and DOWN Fast lines and the 5th line during the intervening night of September 28th and 29th, 2024.
According to Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, all UP and DOWN Fast line trains will run on the Slow lines between Borivali and Andheri during the block period. Additionally, all 5th line Mail/Express trains will be operated on the DOWN Fast line from Andheri to Borivali. As a result of this block, a few suburban trains will be affected and either cancelled or short-terminated during the block period.
Details of partial cancellations and short terminations of trains have been provided by the Western Railway for passenger convenience. These include changes to the schedules of various local trains departing from stations like Virar, Andheri, Dadar, Churchgate, and Bhayandar.
Passengers are advised to check with the concerned Station Masters for detailed information regarding the changes in train schedules. It is important for commuters to take note of these arrangements and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
