Salman Khan, the Bollywood actor, is facing yet another threat as a ransom demand of ₹5 crores has been issued along with death threats. The threatening message was sent to the traffic helpline’s WhatsApp number and claimed association with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The message specifically targeted Salman Khan and a lyricist, warning of consequences for anyone who assists the actor. The sender threatened to “eliminate” the lyricist of the song ‘Main Sikandar Hoon’ and taunted that despite Khan’s influence, he would not be able to protect the lyricist.

In response to the threat, the traffic control room followed standard protocol and alerted senior officials, resulting in a case registration at Worli police station. The police are now working to trace the accused with the help of the phone number used to send the threatening message.

This recent threat comes on the heels of Wednesday’s detention of Bhika Ram Bishnoi in Karnataka for sending similar threats to Salman Khan. Bishnoi had demanded ₹5 crores from the actor, insisting on an apology at a Bishnoi community temple or the payment of the ransom by a specified date. Despite his arrest, Bishnoi remained defiant, expressing his loyalty to the Bishnoi community and admiration for Lawrence Bishnoi, whom he described as an idol. He claimed that the demanded money was meant for temple construction and criticized Khan for not apologizing for his actions.

These threats against Salman Khan are part of a larger pattern of intimidation. In previous incidents, individuals have demanded large sums of money from Khan and others, with threats escalating to the point of shots being fired outside Khan’s residence and surveillance being conducted on his properties and travel routes.

The safety and security of public figures like Salman Khan are of utmost importance, and it is crucial for law enforcement authorities to take these threats seriously and ensure the protection of individuals targeted by such criminal activities. The perpetrators of these threats must be apprehended and brought to justice to prevent further incidents of intimidation and violence.
