Mumbai Police Conducts Route March Ahead of Ganesh Visarjan and Eid-e-Milad Celebrations

In preparation for the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan on September 17 and Eid-e-Milad on September 18, Mumbai Police conducted route marches in various parts of the city to ensure security measures are in place for the festivities.

A major police route march was organized on September 15 from 7:15 pm to 10:45 pm in Zone 6 of Mumbai Police. The march covered the 10 police stations under the jurisdiction of Police Commissionerate in Zone 6. Led by the Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) Zone 6, along with Assistant Police Commissioners from Chembur, Nehru Nagar, Trombay, and Deonar divisions, the route march aimed to create a deterrent against potential lawbreakers.

During the march, as many as four SRPF teams, police mobile vans, and beat marshals participated, covering an area of approximately 33 kilometers. The objective of the operation was to ensure law enforcement and maintain a peaceful environment during the upcoming celebrations.

Deputy Police Commissioner Hemraj Singh Rajput emphasized the importance of citizen cooperation in reporting any suspicious activities or items to the police. He also advised the public to refrain from believing or spreading rumors that could disrupt the festivities.

For the Ganesh Visarjan and Eid-e-Milad celebrations, a substantial police presence has been mobilized, including 300 police officers and 2,100 police personnel. Additional forces, police vehicles, mobile vans, and beat marshals will be deployed to ensure the safety and security of the events.

Preventive action has been taken against 1,126 suspects in Zone 6 of the Mumbai Police to preempt any potential security threats during the festive period.

Mumbai is gearing up for two major celebrations, Ganesh Visarjan on September 17, 2024, and Eid-e-Milad on September 18, 2024, which are expected to attract large crowds participating in processions across the city.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of these processions, the Mumbai Police have put extensive security arrangements in place under the guidance of the Police Commissioner and the Special Police Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) in Mumbai is overseeing the planning and execution of security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful environment during the celebrations.

With preparations in full swing, Mumbai Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors during the Ganesh Visarjan and Eid-e-Milad festivities.
