The Maharashtra Assembly polls are fast approaching, and the ruling alliance Mahayuti, consisting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is working on finalizing seat sharing. State BJP Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that the alliance will complete the seat-sharing process within the next three days.
With the current assembly’s term ending on November 26, the Maharashtra Assembly polls are expected to take place next month. Bawankule mentioned that discussions on 90% of the seats have already been completed, and the remaining 10% will be finalized in the coming days. The BJP parliamentary board will meet on Sunday, October 13, to discuss and announce the seats that each party will contest.
It was reported that BJP will be contesting more seats in Vidarbha, similar to the previous elections. After the parliamentary board meeting, Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Pawar will reveal the seats they will be contesting in the upcoming polls.
This development showcases the continued collaboration within the Mahayuti alliance as they prepare for the crucial Maharashtra Assembly elections. Stay tuned for more updates as the seat-sharing process is finalized in the coming days.
