In addition to the ‘orange’ alert, the IMD also issued a ‘yellow’ alert for Delhi, forecasting light to moderate rain over the next two days.

Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi are expected to experience scattered to fairly widespread rainfall during the week.

Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and the Gujarat region on specific dates in August.
Moving to east and northeast India, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya between August 6 and August 12. Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Bihar are also expected to receive heavy rainfall during certain periods in August.
