According to officials, the accused CISF personnel were traveling in buses from Mumbai airport to their quarters in Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar area. As they were moving towards Sector 36 in Kharghar, a speeding bus came dangerously close to a car between Utsav Chowk and Central Park. The car owner, a doctor and local political party functionary, chased the bus and confronted the driver about his reckless driving.

An argument ensued, and five to six CISF personnel stepped out of the bus, allegedly assaulting the doctor, his brother, and a friend. They even went on to break the windshield of the doctor’s car. The doctor immediately lodged a complaint at the Kharghar police station, stating that some of the CISF personnel involved were under the influence of alcohol.
