An eight-year-old boy, Dikshant Harijan, tragically drowned while playing in a pool at a resort in Arnala on a fateful Wednesday evening. The young boy, son of Venkatesh Harijan from Santosh Nagar in Goregaon, had ventured to the Dreamland Resort in Virar for a day trip with his family and friends. The group had just finished breakfast that morning before heading to the resort’s pool for some fun in the sun. Little did they know that this innocent playtime would turn into a nightmare.
As Harijan frolicked in the children’s pool, he suddenly slipped, allowing water to enter his nose and mouth, leading to his untimely demise by drowning. It was only after he had stopped breathing that his father noticed the dire situation, promptly pulling him out of the water and rushing him to a nearby private hospital. Despite the best efforts to save him, the young boy could not be revived, leaving his family and friends devastated by the tragic turn of events. The Senior Police Inspector Vijay Patil of Arnala Marine Police Station assured that there was no foul play involved, as the accident unfolded in front of everyone present, ruling out any suspicion or negligence on the part of the resort staff.
Not really sure why this matters, but it’s heart-wrenching to think about the sheer unpredictability of life and how a joyous day out with loved ones can turn into a nightmare in the blink of an eye. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like tragedies like these serve as a stark reminder of the fragility of human life and the importance of cherishing every moment we have with our dear ones. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Harijan family as they navigate through this difficult time, grappling with the loss of their beloved Dikshant. Life is indeed unpredictable, and we must hold our loved ones close while we can, for we never know what tomorrow may bring.
