The Central Railway dropped some big news on Friday: they’re making changes to the coach composition of several trains, swapping out old coaches for fancy new Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches to ramp up safety and comfort. These LHB coaches are the latest and greatest when it comes to high-speed passenger coaches used by the Indian Railways, officials say.
In a statement released by the Central Railway, they revealed that they’re planning to run the following trains with these new LHB coaches and revised composition:
– Train no 17614/17613 Hazur Sahib Nanded-Panvel-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express
– Train no 17630/17629 Hazur Sahib Nanded-Pune-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express
The new composition for these trains includes one AC-2Tier, five AC-3Tier, five Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake Van, and one Generator Van. Quite a mix, huh?
Starting from May 1, 2025, Train no 17641/17613 Hazur Sahib Nanded-Panvel-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express will be running with the revised composition. The same goes for Train no 17630/17629 Hazur Sahib Nanded-Pune-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express, but they’ll kick off from May 3, 2025. So mark your calendars!
For those eager to know more about the timings and halts of these trains, the Central Railway recommends checking out the official Indian Railways website or the NTES app. Don’t say they never did anything for you!
But wait, there’s more! The Central Railway has introduced a snazzy new QR Code system for train timetables at major stations. Fancy, right? This new system allows passengers to scan a QR code at stations like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and Panvel in Maharashtra to access important travel information easily.
The whole idea behind this initiative is to make traveling a breeze by providing real-time information at your fingertips. Just whip out your smartphone, scan the code, and voila! You’ll have access to PRS Rules, route maps, the official Central Railway website, and even the RailMadad Portal for grievance redressal and assistance.
And get this, you can view all this information in English, Hindi, or Marathi. Talk about catering to everyone, right? The Central Railway is really stepping up their game.
So, there you have it, folks. The Central Railway is making moves to ensure your train journeys are safer, comfier, and more convenient than ever before. All aboard the LHB train to a brighter future in rail travel!
